The breakfast garden stands out, perfect for enjoying morning meals surrounded by greenery and a charming atmosphere.
Air conditioning struggles to keep the room cool, leading to discomfort on hotter nights, particularly as it has been reported that it can leak water onto the floor. Some of the rooms seem cramped, particularly the bathroom which might feel inadequate for larger guests, potentially challenging for those expecting more space.

A friendly little hotel in a pretty part of town away from the main tourist area of Xania but only a few streets from the harbour area. We were very glad that we were no nearer the harbour. Very good location.Helpful staff.Fairly hands-off style, but the staff were very helpful and welcoming and provided all the help we needed. We would certainly stay there again.
Breakfast could be a bit more exciting

I absolutely loved the charming rooftop area—so cozy to unwind with a glass of wine! The room was beautifully decorated, and the breakfast in the vine-covered courtyard was delightful. Only downside was late-night noise from nearby eateries. 🍷

Best value on our European holiday. Very nice size rooms appointed with good quality furnishings. Good location and good breakfast. A real gem tucked away from busy streets in old town Hania.
Reception only open until 12:00. Need to advise arrival time to have someone meet you. Located on a pedestrian street, taxi's not able to take you and your luggage to front door, approx 100m walk.

The hotel was better than I expected from the reviews I had read. The receptionist was very pleasant and looked after all our needs. Even without our requesting it, the owner offered to let us have the room as late as we wanted on the day we were leaving without any extra charge. Room was very comfortable, and the location of the hotel was ideal since it was in the center of the old town, just a couple of blocks from the old port.

The position in La Canea, an historic venetian town similar to Venice itself of Chioggia, is excellent, in the city centre but very quiet, very close to good restaurants and turistic attractions. We had wonderful quiet sleeps. The building is a venetian house tastefully renovated. Staff was extremely nice and helpful.
The hotel is a bit difficult to find, we were helped by the owner of Pension Kastelli that we would like to thank again. In Ionas hotel, while rooms are fresh and confortable, the shower is right in the middle of the small bathroom without any protection, and there was almost any towel hanger or place where putting out toilet items. Another remark is that the air condition system is a bit noisy and smelly, maybe needs to be adjusted.

Great location. Room was pretty basic but very clean. Staff was very responsive when we called the front desk with a request.
Breakfast was a little bland. Check-in was a hassle because there were no employees present when we arrived. We had to call the hotel (thank goodness we had a cell phone and their phone number) and wait for someone to come from offsite to let us in. Check-out took a very long time because there was no one there who could handle money - again, we had to wait for someone to be summoned from elsewhere.
